Suggested Tips / Receipe

KEY INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

(a) Entire pack (150 gms.) – NANA’S GOAN FISH / PRAWN CURRY PASTE,

(b) Fish/Prawns: (Approx. 300 – 350 gms.) – Cut the Fish into desired pieces / Shell and de-vein the Prawns. Season with Salt, and keep it aside. (c) Onion: (1 medium) finely cut. Stir-fry the Onions in cooking oil till golden brown. (d)Coconut: (One full) – Grated, and ground with Water to a fine paste OR Coconut Milk (400 ml).

COMMON INGREDIENT REQUIRED

(e) Salt and (f) Cooking Oil – As Required

 3 STEPS – COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Combine and mix well (a) the fried Onions (b) NANA’S GOAN FISH / PRAWN CURRY PASTE,
  • Add the (a) Coconut Paste / Coconut Milk, (b) Water depending on the consistency of the Curry required (c) the seasoned FISH / PRAWNS.
  • Cover and simmer on a low flame, stirring occasionally till the FISH / PRAWNS are thoroughly cooked, and the curry is of the desired consistency. CHECK for Salt. SERVE HOT.

 

TIPS & SUGGESTIONS

For a True Traditional Goan Experience, add during the simmering – to the FISH CURRY Binda – chim Solam or Teflam, and to the PRAWN CURRY add Ambea – chim Solam or Bimblam

  • TO INCREASE SPICE ADD SLIT GREEN CHILLIES
  • TO DECREASE SPICE ADD COCONUT MILK

Storage Instruction

Transfer the contents into an air tight, dry jar on opening. Always use a dry spoon.
